Digital photography
Four chromatic explorations inhabiting the spaces between the real and the dreamed
architectures of the unconscious dressed in impossible palettes.
This work arises from the encounter between two visual phenomena that marked internet culture over the last decade: liminal images (those empty spaces that generate a strange familiarity) and Y2K nostalgia, that 2000s aesthetic that the digital world collectively revived.
Taking my own nightmares as a starting point, the project explores how certain visual environments trigger an emotional response that oscillates between the recognizable and the unsettling, between memory and the never-experienced.
"A texture exploration within digital photography — the spaces that the internet's collective memory built to inhabit the dream."
